Celebrate Mom in a politically affirming and appreciative way this year. Under the radar, women are changing the political, economic and cultural landscape, becoming the most powerful force in this country. Women comprise a majority of voters, college students, first-time homebuyers, and make more than 80% of all consumer purchases. Plus women are Babeland’s core customers, and the majority of our workforce.

If you are in Seattle, Town Hall is hosting Joan Blades (co-founder of MoveOn.org) and Kristin Rowe-Finkbeiner, (author of The F Word) in a talk about their new book The Motherhood Manifesto. They have started a new grassroots movement with Momsrising.org, “designed to give to millions of women who have not been politically active a voice and to change legislative and workplace policies in support of women and families.”  Sounds great to us!
