- Babeland, the premier bi-coastal, women-friendly sex toy shop has just been awarded a 2006 NWsource People’s Picks Award for Favorite Adult Toy Boutique.
NWsource is an online collaboration between the Seattle Times and the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, and is an entertainment guide for the Pacific Northwest with information about events, movies, restaurants, shopping, travel, and outdoor activities.
The award cites Babeland’s comfortable and welcoming ambience as well as the outstanding customer service provided by its staff of in-store sex educators: “Babeland…is the classiest place to shop for naughty toys in the city. Its knowledgeable and courteous staff somehow finds a way to display and sell X-rated goods in a way that won’t make you blush.”
Responding to the award, store manager Hollis Rendleman remarked, “We work hard to make Babeland an open, honest, and fun place to shop. We’re thrilled that Seattleites have again recognized Babeland as the best sex shop in Seattle.”
The People’s Picks are an annual series of awards featuring “best of Seattle” businesses in over 100 different categories. Winners are nominated and selected by online voters.
