Kate Bornstein at Babeland

kate bornstein, babelandKate Bornstein visited us at the Seattle store to do a mini-workshop based on her new book Hello Cruel World. Over 60 people showed up to see her and hear her speak. We sold 23 of her books which I think was record number for a book event! It was really great to have her here and everyone was really excited to see her, whether again or for the first time. The event was free, but we accepted donations for Lambert House — all the money went into sealed envelopes so I don’t know how much we actually raised for them, but thanks to everyone who contributed.

    Babeland loves Kate and you should too!! If you haven’t read her new book Hello Cruel World be sure to check it out! It is fantastic.
    I wish I could have been at this event but I’m sure I will catch Kate on her next stop at Babeland.
