Alternative Uses for Sex Toys
People use household objects as sex toys all the time. From cucumbers to carrots to the occasional light bulb, (I wouldn’t recommend it!!) home made sex toys are useful when you don’t have the real thing around.
What about sex toys that are made into house hold items? I’ve stumbled across a couple fantastic examples of this recently and had to share.
First, a chandelier made out of high tech masturbation sleeves! (link) It’s not only beautiful, when disassembled it can make dozens of men temporarily harder. How useful.
And, a beautiful statement on AIDS from a Brazilian artist. She takes test-rejected condoms (yes, they really do test each and every one) and makes them in to couture gowns. They’re not particularly wearable but they look gorgeous. It almost seems like something I’d expect to see on Project Runway (you’ve got $100 and you’re in a sex toy shop and you have to make a gown….. make it work!). If you live in L.A., these gowns plus 10 more will be at the Fowler Museum until March.
I’m sure there are dozens more examples that I haven’t seen yet, but these are both fantastic.
