I just found out that Ducky Doolittle is doing a sort of “tryout” for Sirius satellite radio tonight! Depending on how things go, they might give her a show! She’s on right after Derek and Romaine (a show I’m pleased to say that I’ve been on). All the details are here. If you see this in time, give her a call and ask her some fun questions. Today is the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision. This monumental case legalized abortion giving millions of women the right to make their own decisions about when and how to have children. On this day, pro-choice bloggers are coming together to talk about why they are pro-choice.

Why am I pro-choice? I believe…

• that women have the right to make their own decisions about their healthcare
• making abortions illegal doesn’t mean they will cease to exist, they will just become more dangerous
• that every child should be a wanted child
• the status of the fetus should not eclipse the status of a living, breathing woman
• that abortions should be part of routine health care for women, not a stigmatized and isolated practice
• that physicians should be able to practice medicine without government interference and without bomb threats
• that abortions are part of responsible healthcare decision-making
