Thanks to Gawker, I noticed that Google’s logo today seems to be missing the “L”. Maybe it’s incorporated into the strawberry, but I really don’t think so.

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!
New York City launched it’s condom campaign today to coincide with Valentine’s Day. I just got my hands on some (in honor of the subway design, they were being handed out at subway stations) and I love the design so much, I don’t think I’ll actually want to use them. But I certainly hope others will! New York City has 100,000 residents living with HIV so continuing education and prevention is crucial. These condoms are part of a campaign by Mayor Bloomberg to reduce HIV rates and overall STI rates in New York City.
This condom launch also coincides with National Condom Week!
The best part of the Singles Bash is the flirt board. When you come into Babeland, you get a number. Scattered throughout the store are pieces of paper. When you find a cute person that you want to talk to you, you grab a piece of paper and write their number on the front. On the back you can chose from different options including: “I think you’re cute”, “I’m shy but I want to talk to you”, etc. Write down what you want and put it on the flirt board. Then, spend the rest of the party waiting for notes with your number on them or writing other notes. It’s a fun and no-pressure way to flirt for those of us who might have a bit more trouble just walking up to someone.
Sunday’s Single’s Bash was another hit! We had over 90 people dancing and drinking and flirting the night away. We even gave out free vibrators!
I’m sure that Babeland will host this party again so be on the lookout!
