I kid you not. According to this news source, a gang of crooks robbed a sex toy shop and then escaped the police by pelting them with some of the loot, including vibrators, condoms and a vacuum! The appearance of this news item so soon after April 1 leaves me wondering whether it’s true, but just picturing it made my day. How I long to see this re-enacted in the next summer blockbuster–imagine Matt Damon and Ben Affleck in the getaway car cracking jokes as they fling dildos and hurl rabbit habits at the coppers! Now there’s a story worth ripping from the headlines.

Staying Alive - an international HIV/AIDS education campaign has one of the funniest safer sex commercials I’ve ever seen. The message is simple, easy to understand and funny. The context of the commercial is fairly United States centric (who else has blond, white, guacamole judges?) but it could easily be adapted for other areas (a pho-making contest?)
