Craving School? Babeland Workshops

I’ll never forget one of my first ever Babeland experiences. I was a freshman in college and had been “ordered” by my partner to learn more about the G-spot. I knew about Babeland but I’m not sure if I’d even been in it before I bought my first ticket. These were in the days when all of the workshops were held at the Rivington Street store which is smaller than the Mercer street store, making things a little cozy.

We all sat down and Claire (co-founder) and Ducky (educator extraordinarie) started talking. We learned about how to find it and stimulate it and which kinds of lube to use, good toys, etc. Surprisingly, I actually didn’t remember that many of the particular details – it was just so much to learn. (It’s something I keep in mind when teaching workshops now). I do remember feeling the difference between silicone and water-based lube for the first time and it blew my mind. I probably bought my first bottle of lube that night. It was the first of many, many purchases and the beginning of a love affair for me.
Workshops are many people’s introduction to Babeland and they’re a great way to get to know what the store is all about: fun, pleasure and education. You get it all in a Babeland workshop.

I also really wish I could go to the Nina Hartley workshop in L.A. – she’s so phenomenal that I’m sure that workshop would help everyone who attends it grow in new ways:
