Win a Rabbit! Sheknows.com Contest

Monday, December 3rd, 2007

bunnyloveSheknows.com is giving away two of our Babeland Bunny Love kits – but you’ll have to do your homework first.
My friend Aly at Sheknows.com can’t get enough of the Rabbit, and because she’s such a fan, we put together a little contest for her readership, where they have the chance to win two of our Bunny Love kits (pictured). All you have to do is answer four simple questions, which seems easy enough with a little help from Google, but winners are chosen for their answer’s entertainment value as well as correctness. Give it a whirl if you’re interested — and good luck. Winners will be chosen after this Tuesday – so hurry!

Submit your answers at:

The Questions
1 – What is the URL of the video I made that mentions the rabbit as my favorite toy?
2 – The rabbit was made famous on a very popular television show (that I model my life after in many ways). What show was it? Extra credit if you can tell us a little bit about the episode!
3 – This (Elastomer) version of the rabbit is better in what way? What does that mean?
4 – Do you feel other animals of the animal kingdom are being screwed? (Pardon the pun.) Imagine the anatomy of your favorite creatures. What other ones may be born to be adapted to be pleasure objects?? Why should the rabbit have all the fun?

Babeland Mentioned in NYTimes

hellokittyThe Hello Kitty vibrator is back! Well, almost. It’s available in Japan but there are no plans to distribute it to the United States. The New York Times took at look at how the original Hello Kitty “shoulder massager” became a sensation in the states as a vibrator. To get the scoop, they interviewed two of our Babeland staff!

When I first started working at Babeland over three years ago, we were carrying the Hello Kitty vibrator and I had a lot of awesome conversations with people who wanted to know what it was or wanted to get one for a friend. Often times, so-called “novelty” toys like the Hello Kitty vibrator are not as good in terms of quality. They’re made as real toys, not made to last. The Hello Kitty vibrator, however, was solid. It had the same base as the Waterdancer, a great toy so we knew it would last a bit longer than the average novelty toy.

The new “massagers” (pictured) are a different shape so I don’t know how they’ll hold up quality-wise, but I hope that Sanrio changes their minds and decides to open up the market to the United States. They’ll make a lot of money and we’ll be happy to have Hello Kitty back in our stores.
