Free Form 6 demo open to customers

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

form6One of the makers of the Form 6 is going to stop by the Mercer street store in Soho this coming week to give a little demo of the Form 6. It’s not every day that we have the people who make the toys in the store so this is really a treat.

There are only three buttons and yet I know I’m not using it to it’s fullest so I’m very excited about this opportunity. Lots of Babeland staff will be there learning but you are more than welcome to join us. So, if you’ve wanted to check out the Form 6 or you already own one and want to make sure you’re getting the most out of it, then stop by. Here are the details:

Relieve Stress With Babeland

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

babelandAh New Yorkers (and everyone else) – we’re so busy, so rushed, so stressed out. How do you reduce stress in this city? Time Out New York attempted to answer this question by asking busy New Yorkers and their answers were very interesting. From the Staten Island Ferry to a room with a lot of dirt to a strip club, New Yorkers have some very interesting ways of relieving stress. Some of them I actually want to check out because I always love hidden parts of the city.

One savvy New Yorker said that getting a new vibrator at Babeland was her favorite way of de-stressing. Here, here! Although sometimes I feel even too busy to masturbate, when I do, I always feel better. I’m so glad that this person thought outside the box and listed pleasure instead of a place as the ultimate de-stresser. Fantastic!

“I don’t know about you, but nothing gets those endorphins firing like a new vibrator or, ohh, some bondage tape!” exclaims a management consultant who calls herself Tink. “I like Babeland

Loving the Liv

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

livI will confess – I hardly ever buy new vibrators anymore. When you work at a sex toy shop, there are just too many options. For me, it takes exactly the right combination to peak my interest. As you already know, I was really excited about the Gigi but apparently everyone else was too and so we didn’t have it in stock the last time I worked. Then, I noticed a toy that looked like Gigi but was actually much more my style. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have it.

The Liv vibrator is very similar to the Gigi – silicone and beautiful hard plastic with five different pulses plus a wide range of vibration from a steady rumble to an intense buzz. It doesn’t have quite the same G-spot lip that Gigi has, but it’s smooth and curved and dark blue – much more my style than bright pink. (Who ever said that looks shouldn’t be a factor?)

Using the Liv is really easy. All I had to do to turn it one was push a button. Then, it’s left and right to change the intensity and up and down to change the type of vibration. This means that you can have pulsing type 3 and intensity type 2 or pulsing type 4 and intensity type 1 or pulsing type 1 and intensity type 4 and so on and so forth – you get the idea.

I’ve actually never played around much with pulsing so I’m looking forward to experimenting and I will be sure to report back.
