Wow. Just, wow. Two amazing things happened yesterday. One was, of course, electing the first African American person to the presidency. I was in Harlem when the news was announced and people poured into the streets, screaming and crying and honking their horns. Old ladies in housecoats stood on doorsteps. Democracy has never felt better.

The other big thing? Our little Get Out the Vote experiment took off in a huge way – bigger than we ever could have expected. With articles in Salon, MSNBC and the New York Times (!), we were inundated with requests yesterday, so much so that we needed to add staff!

Because we didn’t expect quite this kind of turnout, we may be a little low on supplies. So, if you pop into Babeland to claim your reward for exercising your constitutional right to vote, just know that we may be out. We’ll get more back before the 11th though, I promise.
