Babeland poster as art

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

A little awhile ago we created our first wheat paste poster campaign for New York City. I walked by one on my way to our Mercer store and every time I saw it, I would smile. I also watched it slowly peel as snow and rain took their toll. What I saw as a poster gradually losing its information, artist Erik S. Lieber saw as an amazing moment for a photograph. I thought the posters were pretty hot when they were new but I have to say, I think this is even better!

Bravo’s Kelly Cutrone stopped by Babeland a little awhile ago and did some shopping, it looks like she had a ton of fun! With her Sasi and her lube, she’s ready to go!

Please don’t dye your labia!

Thursday, February 18th, 2010

First the G-shot, now labia-dying – will we ever stop trying to alter our natural beauty? Our G-spots are just the size they’re supposed to be and our labia are supposed to be that color! We don’t all have to look the same (or look like porn stars). We are unique and we’re meant to be that way.

Besides my moral sense that changing the color of one’s labia goes against everything that I hold true, I also have a hard time imagining putting whatever heinous chemicals that dye might contain onto my precious, precious labia. Also, and I’m just saying this to be picky, when this company says “button” do they mean labia? Because I really think of “button” as meaning clitoris… I’m doubtful about how much these people know about anatomy.

What do you think about these products, do you have any friends who’ve talked about using them?
