Love that Prostate, Part 4

Friday, May 14th, 2010

So far we’ve learned all about why we might want to stimulate the prostate, how to communicate with our partners about it, where all of the important parts are. Now we’re almost ready to start the stimulation!

Before you engage in any anal play, you need three things:

1. Relaxation: not only do we hold a lot of tension in our asses, but since anal sex is a taboo topic, sometimes just thinking about it can cause us to tense up. Nervousness will do the trick too. Make sure you or your partner is relaxed. Take a bath, get a massage, etc – whatever you need to do to fully relax. Pay attention to your breathing – are you holding your breath? Concentrate on long, deep breaths instead.

2. Lubrication: the ass does not self lubricate. So, before you go anywhere near it, you need to have a good lube on hand. We recommend a thicker lube which provides a nice cushion, reducing friction. Maximus and Sassy Booty are fantastic choices.

3. Communication: When you’re stimulating another person’s ass, it’s very important to check in. Ask questions like “does this feel good?”, “should I go slower? faster?” or “should I go deeper?”. Check in every time you want to move to a different kind of stimulation because your partner may find that they don’t enjoy that type of stimulation, or that their ass isn’t quite ready for it yet.

Communication also means listening to the ass – it knows when it’s ready for more and, if you remember our anatomy lesson from last time, pushing it along won’t get you anywhere in the long run. If you try something new and it’s painful, go back to the thing you were doing before that wasn’t painful.

Stay tuned for stimulation tips!
