You may love her or hate her, but you can’t deny that Lady Gaga is a sex positive superstar. Lady Gaga has pushed the envelope not only with her out of this world fashion but also by challenging gender norms.

From posing with a strap-on on the cover of a magazine to her to her latest video for “Alejandro,” Gaga continues to use imagery that exposes people to different expressions of sexuality. She also provides imagery that a lot of people can identify with. In “Alejandro” Gaga pairs religious imagery (“Papa Don’t Preach” anyone?) with military-styled male models dancing in stilettos. She even poses in sexual positions with these men that include some Bend Over Boyfriend shots. It’s very sexy and definitely a must watch. If you haven’t seen it, check it out:

All I know is that if I could make a Lady Gaga vibrator or dildo I totally would, and it would be completely covered in glitter.

In my previous entry I told you about my search for a new vibrator. Based upon my list of criteria (strong clitoral stimulation, small enough for comfortable use with a partner, and some flexibility when it comes to cost), I narrowed it down to three candidates:

Mystic Wand, $68: This reminds me of my precious Hitachi Magic Wand but the six vibration types (three speeds and three pulses, what?) made my mouth water. It’s smaller so I can use it with a partner  no problem, and bless its little heart, I can use it in the shower too.

Better Than Chocolate, $80: You look at this sexy toy and you can just tell it’s just made for resting on the vulva — can I get an “Amen”? I love how unobtrusive this toy is and changing to another of the multiple vibrations won’t even get in the way. It’s waterproof up to a meter so I can use it in the tub too. Oh yeah Better Than Chocolate, I am definitely giving you the eye…

Now each of these uses batteries. That’s great since my beloved Hitachi uses a cord which limits me to using it fairly close to an outlet, but then I can be quite terrible about having extra batteries handy. Hm. Oh well, on to the last candidate.

Jimmyjane Form 2, $135: This is the priciest of the bunch. But wait, what’s this — those are dual vibrating ears? Each with four vibration modes and five power settings? So my clitoris goes between those?

*bites lips*

I’m on the market for a vibrator. “Yay, you’re in the right place!” you’re thinking to yourself. That is the truth, Babeland will take very good care of me but I’m not getting my first toy, or replacing one that’s been damaged. I just want something additional. This is no small feat though because the toy I have and adore (sometimes a few times a day) is the Hitachi Magic Wand.

The Magic Wand has a loyal following around these parts and if you’ll excuse the plug, I’ve even dreamily talked about it on my own blog. It’s in perfect working condition, gets me off perfectly every single time, and has a cozy little nook in my panty drawer but I’m looking to expand my vibrating family. I want to do some research before my next trip to Babeland  but first I have to narrow down what I’m looking for.

My next vibrator should…

• Focus on the clitoris. That’s where the party’s at for me so a toy that provides internal pleasure during external vibration isn’t really what I need. Something with major emphasis on vibration is what I want.
• Be pretty strong. Now this is a fine line because there’s a flutter, there’s strong and there’s brain-explosion. I’d say I’m on the end of the stronger end of the spectrum but I don’t want to spontaneously combust.
• Be easy to use with a partner. Hitachi is awesome but it’s a full-on massager so it can be a little bulky if I use it with a company. I think I need a smaller toy this time, you know, in case I ever have sex with another person again.
• Cost whatever. Well sort of, I’m willing to splurge a little bit on luxury this time.

So with these qualifications in mind I did exhaustive, back-breaking research on babeland.com (tough job) and I would like to introduce to you my three finalists…
