In Ask Babeland, real Babeland Sex Educators provide real answers to real questions that they received from customers during their shifts. If one customer has this question, chances are others do too so we’re bringing them to you!

Q: I’m new to vibrators but want one to use with my partner during sex, what would you recommend?

A: When people are using a vibrator with a partner, they usually want something small’ish, so they can easily tuck it between body parts. Since you’re new to vibrators, I’d also recommend looking for something that has a variable speed, so you can be sure you’re getting just the right amount of vibration.

Some vibrators that fit that bill are the following:

The Lucky 7: This vibrator is small but it packs a punch with seven different speeds. It’s very tiny so you’ll have no problem getting it to reach wherever you want

The Laya Spot: I love this toy because it’s ergonomically shaped to fit right where you need it. It has almost as many speeds as the Lucky 7 and the placement of the controls make it very easy to change those speeds if you need to, even if things are hot and heavy. The Laya Spot has been around since I first started working here almost six years ago – for a reason.

The Nea: This vibrator is on the buzzy side, but it still has adjustable speeds and it is quite thin, perfect for slipping in between two people. It’s also rechargeable!
