At Babeland we love summertime romances, and now that the weather is warm it’s the perfect time to meet someone new and try new things! That’s why we are excited to talk up this week’s  Friend-of-a-Friend Singles Party, brought to you by the fabulous ladies over at Urban Girl Squad. This social networking group for women hosts tons of fun events, and sometimes they even happen at Babeland! This time around they have set their eyes on the prize with a singles party that should not be missed.

Here’s how it works:

Each attendee is expected to bring a male friend that they think would be the perfect fit for someone at the party. That way, everyone in attendance has been vouched for!  It’s brilliant.

If you don’t already have plans this Thursday evening then click your way over to Urban Girl Squad’s website and sign up.  Plus, just by attending the event you’ll be entered to win a pair of tickets to the Babeland workshop of your choosing. Who knows, in a month or two you and your new beau could be shopping at Babeland for a waterproof toy to bring on your first weekend getaway. A girl can dream!

Happy summer fling-ing!

Babeland gets involved in dozens of community events each month. We help to raise funds for many organizations by donating toys like Silver Bullets, condoms, and lube for gift bags and luxury vibes like the Gigi as raffle prizes to create incentives for donors. The chance to win a great vibrator makes lots of people open their wallets for a cause!

This is all in addition to our Come for a Cause program, which raises money for organizations that have a common vision and that are doing important, effective work. In 2011, Babeland has raised money for Grist.org and Young Survival Coalition. During June, purchase a Sliquid Lube Cube Sampler and $2 will go to Immigration Equality. In July, we’ll be supporting the sex education programs of SIECUS with our friends at Jimmyjane.

At a recent event in Brooklyn, NY, a celebration of “Edgy Moms”, we donated both a raffle prize and toys for gift bags. We were delighted to get the best thank you note ever in the form of this cartoon from one of the Edgy Moms who participated, Jennifer Hayden. Thanks, Jennifer!
