Babeland on Chef Roblé & Co.

Tuesday, January 17th, 2012

Did you see us on Bravo last week? We helped Jasmine and Shawn, part of Chef Roblé’s team, get party favors and gift bag items for a bachelorette party in New Jersey in episode 6 of the Chef Roblé & Co. reality show that aired on January 8th. They shopped at Babeland SoHo and relied on our expertise with sexy accessories to put together a rockin’ party for the bachelorette and her friends. As you can see in the episode, Shawn had a good time teasing Jasmine and playing with the toys, including a flogger.

The Bachelorette got a fabulous gift for her honeymoon, including a copy of Moregasm: Babeland’s Guide to Mind-Blowing SexMassage Candles, BabeLube Natural, Edible Body Chocolate and a vibrating panty set. The guests at the party, which included a hot stripper, all got Babeland Buzz vibes, Babeland Condoms and lubettes. They pulled off a super-fun party! (We offer Bachelorette parties as part of our Premier Services Program, too. Get in touch if you’d like to know more.) We love how the show turned out and had a blast with Jasmine and Shawn and want them to come back soon. Since we’re on the subject, what TV show would you like to see Babeland on?

Will You Buy Your Next (or First) Vibrator at the Drugstore?

Thursday, April 21st, 2011

Trojan Triphoria, $47

Babeland was mentioned today in a New York Times article about Trojan’s new line of vibrators going on sale at drugstores near you. Founder Rachel Venning’s quote summed up Babeland’s take on this new development in the vibrator retailing business:

“I know women will buy them at Duane Reade, and as a lifelong cheerleader for sexual empowerment I’m thrilled at this development,” Ms. Venning said. “It’s one more step in the evolution of vibrators to just another consumer product, unburdened of its freight of shame, sexual defect and sluttiness.”

We are excited that vibrators are slowly losing their stigma, and by treating them as a normal, everyday purchase, brands like Trojan and Durex can help folks feel good about buying toys to enhance their sexuality. But my question for you readers is: “Will you or would you buy a vibrator at the drugstore?” (more…)
