Do straight guys like anal? Part 4

June 26th, 2008 by Dallas

severinLet’s talk about toys. We are, after all, at Babeland.

There are some activities where you can get by without toys. If you were stranded on a desert island and you really needed some clitoral stimulation, a finger would do the trick for many people. For extended anal play, however, sex toys just make everything better. They can do things that fingers or a mouth cannot do and they can do them for much longer. Basically they extend the possibilities for anal play immensely. There are three main kinds of anal toys and each gives a different sensation:

Butt Plugs are some of my favorite ass toys because they’re designed to go in and stay in. This means that they can help the muscles relax around them in order to take something bigger when they come out. It also means that you can insert one and leave it in while you do other things. That way you get the stimulation without having to do any work! I recommend the Little Flirt, the Severin. You can tap or rub on the outside of the plug to create sensation. You can also hold a vibrator up to the end to add vibration or get the Pro-Touch and the vibration is there for you. If you’re looking for prostate or G-Spot stimulation, angle the Pro-Touch towards the front of the body, not the back.
Why do people use big plugs? Though these do seem a little intimidating at first, plugs can provide a feeling of fullness that many people enjoy and bigger plugs feel fuller.
rippleRipple toys are some of my favorite anal toys because they slow down the action and concentrate on the sphincter area where most of the nerve endings are. As the muscles open and close after each bump, there’s a nice little jolt of sensation. You can also try pulling them out one after the other at orgasm to really increase the sensation. With some ripple toys, you get multiple toys in one. For instance, with the Ripple 1, you can work up in size without having to buy a lot of toys and then when you get to the end, you’ve got a ripple toy and a butt plug. Because of their length, rippled toys stimulate the ass once inside too.

Dicks: There are a lot of long smooth things you can use as anal toys but we recommend anal dildos with flared bases, that way you don’t have to worry about losing them internally. Dicks with flared bases are also the best for harnessing. Remember that the ass magnifies any sensation. Because of that, getting something smooth can be important because something with a lot of ridges may feel more intense than you might otherwise expect. You’ll also want to think about whether you want a realistic looking dick or not. Everyone likes different things so it’s a discussion to have with your partner.

As we’ve learned, the prostate and the G-Spot are only a couple of inches in, so shorter dicks can be great for stimulating those areas. If you want a deeper stimulation, then longer dicks are great for that. Remember, you’ve got a few inches to work with. I recommend the Silk, the Mistress, or Bond. If you’re looking to harness your dick, it can be helpful to remember that you’ll loose a little bit of length when you harness something so you might want to get something a little longer. It can also be helpful to have something longer because then you can help steady it with your hand.

Do straight guys like anal? Part 3

June 25th, 2008 by Dallas

buttbeadsThis section of the workshop isn’t really just for straight guys. It’s for anyone who is interested in trying anal sex. Here are the five things you need to have great anal fun.

Desire: Anal sex is really fun! But you have to want to do it. If you don’t, you won’t be able to relax and enjoy it. Being honest with yourself about what you’re into is important. Remember, too, that you can be a little nervous and still want to do something, just check in to see what you’re really thinking. Desire also means being aroused already before you start any intense anal play – just sticking a finger in right at the beginning may not feel as good as it will after some wonderful foreplay first. This holds true for a lot of things, not just anal play.

Trust: If you’re with someone else, you need to feel that you can trust that person to respect your needs and desires. Trying something new can be a little scary and having someone you trust will help.

Communication: Most of us think about communication as being with other people. This absolutely encompasses that. Saying “faster, slower, I need more Lube” etc is really important in anal play. However, you also need to listen to your ass. It will tell you what it feels ready for – so make sure you communicate with it too.

plugRelaxation: This can mean a lot of different things including the environment and cleanliness. We hold a lot of tension in our ass and hip area and it can sometimes be difficult to let that go but hopping in a bath or having a nice massage can be a great way to start to relax the body. Building up desire with foreplay also helps, as does using a vibrator or vibrating butt plug around the anus.

Lube: The ass doesn’t self lubricate so having lubrication around is an absolute must. I recommend a thick, gel-like lube like Maximus: it stays put and provides a lovely cushiony layer that really wines and dines your ass in the way that it likes. You could also try a silicone lube that won’t evaporate like Eros. This lube you can’t use with silicone toys, however.

With these five things in place, you can’t go too wrong with any amount of anal play you’re doing. Would you add anything to this list?
